Before opening PSP, download plugins and install

Some helpful information:

You can change the blend mode, opacity and drop shadow, as well as colourise the materials,
according to the tubes/colours you are using.

When applying the Resize with the All Layers option checked, this will be informed in the tutorial,
otherwise, apply the resize with this option unchecked.

Remember always to save your work.

Whenever you reduce an image, apply Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen, to maintain the sharpness of the image.

Some tools or features have other names in earlier versions of the PSP.



Please Note:   Offset settings provided in this tutorial may vary according to size of your image.
Please adjust to suit.

The settings remain the same throughout this Tutorial unless otherwise stated.
Set your Foreground colour to #cedbc1
Set your Background colour to #b55849

Step One:
Put Styled Lines in PSP Styled Lines Folder
Place Pattern in PSP Pattern Folder
Place Selection in PSP Selection Folder
Place Preset Shape in PSP Preset Shape Folder
Open graphics and Mask in PSP, duplicate (Shift D) and close the original.

File/New/New Image 900 pixels x 600 pixels as follows:



Change Foreground Colour to Foreground/Background/Radial Gradient as follows:



Change Background to Pattern  as follows:



Step Two:
Flood Fill with Foreground Gradient
Selections/Select All
Maximise SantawithGiftsE.pspimage
Edit/Copy    Edit/Paste into Selection
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur as follows:



Selections/Select None

Step Three:
Swap the Foreground and Background as follows:



Preset Shape Tool with the following settings:



Starting at 20 x 20 pixels, draw out the shape to fill the whole layer as shown below:



Convert to Raster Layer
Change Foreground and Background Colours back to original settings

Step Four:
Select Raster 1
Effects/Texture Effects/Texture/Fairy light night as follows:



Layers/New Raster Layer
Selections/Load/Save Selection/Load Selection D.D.SantasHere from Disk as follows:



Step Five:
Edit/Paste SantawithGiftsE.pspimage into Selection (should still be there)
This image should fill 3/4's of the space so if your image is smaller
please resize .
Selections/Select None
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow as follows:



Step Six:
Maximise ThreeXmasBunniesE.pspimage
Edit/Copy  Edit/Paste as New Layer
Layers/Arrange/Bring to Top
Effects/Image Effects/Offset as follows:



Using the Eraser Tool, carefully remove the mist in the image as shown below
to make the image underneath more visible



Step Seven:
Layers/Merge/Merge Down
Repeat Once
Image/Canvas Size as follows:



Layers/New Raster Layer
Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
Flood Fill with Foreground Gradient
Effects/Texture Effects/Sandstone as follows:



Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance

Step Eight:
Select Raster 3
Layers/Merge/Merge Down
Effects/Plugins/Eye Candy 3.0/Drop Shadow as follows:



OR
Effects/Plugins/Eye Candy 4000/Shadowlab as follows:



Step Nine:
Layers/New Raster Layer
Layers/Arrange/Move Down
Flood Fill with Background Pattern
Layers/New Mask Layer/from Image/find c25 masques 2012 inedit 19.jpg as follows:



Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance More
Layers/Merge/Merge Group
Effects/User Defined Filter/Preset Emboss 3 OR as follows;



Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow BUT change Opacity to 75

Image/Add Borders/50 pixels/White
Magic Wand with the following settings:



Select with Magic Wand
Flood fill with Background Pattern
